IGNOU Begins Admission for Post Basic BSc Nursing, Apply by March 5

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened admissions for its Post Basic BSc Nursing program for the January 2026 session. The course is mainly meant for registered nurses and midwives who are currently working and wish to upgrade their qualifications through distance education.   • Those who have passed Class 10 and hold a three-year GNM diploma are required to have a minimum of five years of work experience after registration.
  • Male nurses, or candidates who did not study midwifery as part of their GNM course, must hold a nursing certificate that is approved by the Indian Nursing Council in place of midwifery training.
